Highlights from the Textile Collection Exhibit
DATE: All summer
VENUE: THE SAINT LOUIS ART MUSEUM IN FOREST PARK
This exhibition presents a selection of 21 textiles highlighting the depth and diversity of the Museum's holdings. Included in the exhibit is a very fine and unusual Turkish Ushak carpet from the 16th century. Another featured work, Esther and Ahasuerus, given by Mrs. William A. McDonnell demonstrates elaborate English embroidery of the second half of the 17th century. The exhibition also includes more contemporary work including a woven piece by St. Louis artist Mary Giles.

Bill Smith: Beyond the Humanities Exhibit

Between Two Worlds: Veterans Journey Home Exhibit

VENUE: THE HISTORY MUSEUM IN FOREST PARK
This exhibit explores the struggle of 20th-century soldiers to stay connected to home, to thrive while separated from their loved ones, and to eventually transition back into home life. Through firsthand stories from veterans, the exhibit examines both the changes and continuities in the veteran experience, from World War I to the Iraq War.

Stingrays at Caribbean Cove featuring Sharks

VENUE: THE SAINT LOUIS ZOO IN FOREST PARK
Visitors can watch, touch and occasionally feed these gentle and fascinating ocean creatures as they glide through a tropical saltwater habitat. Designed for hands-on, safe family fun, the 17,000-gallon pool is designed for easy navigation by cownose, southern stingrays, horseshoe crabs, white-spotted bamboo, nurse and bonnethead sharks.

Mantegna to Man Ray: Six Explorations in Prints, Drawings, and Photographs Exhibit
DATE: All Summer
VENUE: THE SAINT LOUIS ART MUSEUM IN FOREST PARK
This exhibition focuses on six areas of uncommon strength and quality in the works on paper collections. Three of the exhibition's six sections revolve around a single, innovative artist – Pieter Bruegel, George Caleb Bingham, and Max Beckmann – while the others are defined by a place or a time. Highlights include prints by Andrea Mantegna and Rembrandt van Rijn, and the steel etching plate for the prit after George Caleb Bingham's County Election. A selection of 20th-century European prints, drawings, and photographs includes two large-scale pastels of dancers by Edgar Degas, and Man Ray's solarized photograph, Iris. New Media Series—Hiraki Sawa: Migration Exhibit
DATE: All Summer
VENUE: THE SAINT LOUIS ART MUSEUM IN FOREST PARK
In Migration, a seven-minute digital video, men and women depicted at Lilliputian scale, along with miniature horses, elephants, and camels, traverse the interior of a life-size apartment. Sawa borrowed pioneering photographer Eadweard Muybridge's late 19th-century studies of human and animal locomotion, animating the walking gaits of Muybridge's subjects across the window sills, floors, and countertops of the Japanese artist's flat in London. Sawa merges 21st-century digital technology with the 19th-century beginnings of photography to produce an intriguingly captivating, imaginary world in black and white. Donald Judd: The Multicolored Works Exhibit

This exhibition features an extraordinary group of objects created by Judd between 1984 and 1992 that are characterized by his ever-evolving engagement with color. 44th Annual Lafayette Square Spring House and Garden Tour

136th Annual Veiled Prophet Parade
